New investment – Gerber CNC Z1 cutter

GNG Group recently took delivery of the latest and most powerful automated fabric conveyor cutter system. With ContourVision™ automated scan-to-cut system, GNG can now scan custom digitally printed textiles, automatically generate cut files and cut directly from textile rolls. Vastly improving capacity and leads times. The Gerber Cutter Z1 brings 100% accuracy, fast, flexible and fully customisable processes and enables GNG to manufacture the highest quality finished products for our customers.

The Gerber Cutter Z1 features powerful integrated software and utilises tools such as laser controlled plotting and cutting that accurately cuts complex patterns in tough fabrics and reduces our material waste.

The digital vision technology featured in the Z1 can accommodate placement errors, cutting variations and material distortions to maximise efficiency and optimise energy costs. The Gerber Cutter Z1 is also UL listed and conforms to CE safety standards.

This is another significant investment by GNG Group that will produce significant lead time reductions. In addition, it ensures we can continue to meet and exceed our customer expectations on quality, flexibility and availability of products and keeps us at the forefront of innovation in design and manufacturing.

The products that will be manufactured on Gerber Cutter Z1 includes:

  • Rugby Post Pads
  • Rugby Corner Flag Padding
  • Netball post padding
  • Rugby Hit Shield
  • Rugby HIT360 Tackle Bags
